I am so excited for our new Urban STEM camp right in the middle of the Adventure District! I can’t wait to climb the new rock wall or zip across the lake to the Oklahoma City Zoo! We are so close to opening but we still need your support. There are a few items that didn’t quite make the list. CAMPERSHIP
Every girl deserves to experience Camp Trivera. More than 60% of the girls we serve live at or below the poverty level. Many are not able to afford day camp, overnight camp or transportation to and from camp.
We have established an endowment that will offer scholarships so that all girls of any socioeconomic background have the opportunity to attend. Studies show that girls who attend and enjoy camp, stay in Girl Scouts longer. Girls who stay in the program longer, have better life outcomes and become more involved community leaders.
It costs $250 to send a girl to one week of day camp at Camp Trivera and $25 for one night. We are about $350,000 shy of hitting our goal (as of 11/2019) to complete the endowment for these type of scholarships. EVERY DOLLAR WILL BE MATCHED!
